Free City Tour Zakopane

Free walks and tours in Zakopane starting in July
FREE CITY TOUR is back in Zakopane. Starting July 1, 2026, both residents and tourists will be able to join free city walks and themed tours that will let them discover the history, culture, and traditions of the town at the foot of the Tatra Mountains.

This year's edition of the FREE CITY TOUR Zakopane project offers even more unique routes, meetings with guides, and stories about places that create the one-of-a-kind atmosphere of the capital of the Polish Tatras. What's more, the program includes both historical walks and tours dedicated to authentic Highlander culture.
FREE CITY TOUR Zakopane – discover the city from a new perspective
The FREE CITY TOUR project has been incredibly popular for several years, both among locals and tourists visiting Zakopane. Thanks to small groups, participants can not only explore the city but also learn about its lesser-known stories, curiosities, and local traditions.

Additionally, the walks are led by experienced guides, regional experts, and specialists in the culture and history of Podhale. As a result, each tour becomes a unique journey through both old and modern Zakopane.

Participation in all events is completely free. However, the number of spots is limited, so organizers encourage signing up in advance.

Maximum number of participants:
• 20 people – most walks
• 15 people – visit to the Kornel Makuszyński Museum
